Cultural Control Options:

Hand removal where limited number of plants are present, not practical for larger lawn areas; maintain minimum 2.5 to 3.0 inch mowing heights and good turfgrass density.

Additional Weed Control Information:

Lawn preemergence products should be watered in with about 1/4″ to 1/2″ of water right after application to improve effectiveness.  Additionally, crabgrass can be controlled in summer with specialized post-emergent application.
